Finding Hope 100 miles from home

Turquoise and Dad

For just over 440 days, Turquoise and her family have called the Ronald McDonald House home. Five-year-old Turquoise was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in 2019. Since then, she has been receiving treatment and follow up care at Presbyterian Hospital. Her dad Michael has been by her side the entire time, and her mom Asalyen has joined them at the House with her two siblings. Michael says, “Everyone is so supportive. I am very blessed that there is an organization that provides this kind of help.”
The family is staying close to the care Turquoise needs and making sure that their family is staying healthy. Turquoise says that she misses her home, her friends, and her classmates, but understands why she needs to be here. The family thanks everyone who has helped make their stay comfortable and those who continue to support RMHC-NM during this stressful time. Your support will help families like Turquoise's everyday!
